Dead Island 2 will be released sooner than players expected:
It was re-released and it was reported that the game will be exclusive to the Epic Games digital store on PC when it releases on February 3 next year.
The game is currently available for pre-order in three versions, the traditional version, the Deluxe version and the Gold version, and from the details of these copies, it is known that the game will receive a seasonal ticket, and the details about the content that The owners of this ticket will receive have not been clarified.

The publisher, Embracer Group, had recently hinted that the game could be released in March 2023 at the latest. The CEO of Embracer Group spoke about the game, explaining:
I can't talk about this game because it hasn't been announced by the publisher yet. But we just talked about having an unannounced AAA title... which you might think was Dead Island 2, so it's hard for me to comment further on that.
Game Director David Stenton and Creative Director James Worral spoke about Los Angeles in Dead Island 2 and confirmed that it is divided into several areas of different sizes, some smaller and some huge, and offers different missions and side activities, however, progression will be linear as new areas will only unlock as you progress through the story, however, players will have the option to return to old areas whenever they wish.
The director continued his statement by explaining:
We have divided Los Angeles into a series of regions, some really huge, some a bit smaller, the currently available demo focuses on one of these regions on the smaller side, you can move between regions at as you unlock them based on story progression, and there are a lot of different side quests in these areas.
Each area has its own zombies, and they're all coordinated and dressed to reflect that area and especially life in LA, these are the encounters themselves, so those zombie players should feel like they're from real people.
