Fried crispy shrimp, like restaurants, a side dish served as a Ramadan appetizer with the family's favorite sauce, it's a quick and easy to prepare and nutritious dish as well.

Ingredients:

  • one egg.
  • ½ cup of all-purpose flour.
  • 1 ½ teaspoon yeast powder.
  • ¼ cup all-purpose flour.
  • 2 cups of shredded coconut.
  • 24 pieces of peeled shrimp.
  • 3 cups of oil for frying.

How to prepare:

   In a medium bowl, mix the egg with ½ cup of the flour and baking powder. Put ¼ cup of the flour and coconut in two separate bowls.

Grab the prawns by the tail and dip them in the flour, shaking them to get rid of the excess flour. Dip it in the egg, and let the excess eggs drip from it. Then pass the prawns in the coconut, and place them on a baking tray lined with waxed paper. Put it in the fridge for 30 minutes. Heat the oil to 175 degrees in a deep frying pan.

Fry the prawns in batches: 2-3 minutes, or until golden. Then put it on kitchen paper to dry. Serve warm with your favorite dipping sauce.
