Red beans and rice recipe
Red beans are one of the types of legumes that contain a high nutritional value, and are used in the preparation of salads, soups, rice and many dishes.
Red kidney beans contain amino acids, which are chemicals that combine together to form the primary nutrient, protein, which helps build muscle.
Regulating the level of sugar is one of the most important benefits of red beans, as red beans contain a high percentage of good, fiber-rich carbohydrates called complex carbohydrates.

Ingredients:
- Olive oil: a tablespoon
- Garlic: clove (finely chopped)
- Onion: 1 piece (chopped)
- Celery: Agarwood (chopped)
- Red pepper: 1 piece (finely chopped)
- Corn: 1 cup (canned, washed and drained)
- Black pepper: a quarter of a teaspoon
- Red beans: 2 cups (boiled and drained / can use canned)
- Salt: a teaspoon
- Rice: a cup
- Hot water: a cup and a half (or chicken broth)
- Butter: a tablespoon
- Green coriander: 2 tablespoons (chopped fresh)
- Heat the oil in a non-stick pan on the stove.
- Add the onion, garlic, and celery, and stir-fry for 3 minutes.
- Add the red pepper and my heart for 5 minutes, until the vegetables soften.
- Add rice, salt, and stir for two minutes.
- Add beans, corn, broth and black pepper and bring the mixture to a boil.
- Reduce the heat, cover the pot, and leave for 30 minutes, until the rice is cooked.
- Pour the rice into a serving dish, spread the cilantro on top of the dish and serve hot alongside grilled chicken or meat, as desired.
