Required coverage:
Fire and third party liability insurance is mandatory and included in all rentals. Third party liability insurance provides up to $85,000 of coverage in the event of damage or injury to people or property outside of the rental vehicle.
Optional Cover:
Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) and theft protection are included in our all-inclusive rates at a very discounted rate. CDW, if purchased at the rental counter, costs approximately $15 - $23 per day. Theft protection, if purchased at the rental counter, costs around $5 - $12 per day. CDW and theft coverage reduces the deductible (responsibility of the customer) to $385 - $1,685. Personal Accident Insurance (PAI) is available at the rental desk for approximately $3 - $5 per day. Super CDW may be served locally to reduce the deductible amount to zero. But if you pre-purchase through us, it will be cheaper for you. Optional insurance coverage is available with specific companies only, and prices are subject to change without prior notice.

Cars rented in Greece may be driven outside the country with a special arrangement. An additional fee may apply for this service, which is not available for all vehicle classes. Collision Damage Waiver and Theft Protection coverage is not valid when the vehicle is outside the country and the customer is responsible for loss or damage. Vehicles can be transported from Athens to the islands if the vehicle is returned to Athens; CDW is void when the vehicle is on a ferry.

Is one-way rental between the Greek islands possible?
Only a few car rental agents in Greece allow one way rentals between the Greek islands eg Avis and Budget. You will need to get written permission from the terminal manager from the car rental agent and there is no valid insurance while on the ferry.
